Helicopter Engine Service and Support

Sabreliner has developed a decades-long standing as an expert in helicopter engine service and support.  Since entering the rotary-wing field in 1989 when we won a U.S. Army procurement contract to rebuild 400 T53-L-13B engines, we have continued to service those engines.  The T53 engine is known primarily for powering military helicopters, but it also is used for the Bell 204 and 205 multipurpose utility helicopters and the Bell 214 and Kaman K-1200 medium lift helicopters.

perryvilleWe maintain the capability to perform T53 overhaul and maintenance and continue to overhaul and test 300 T53 fuel controls under a prime government contract and for government-approved foreign military sales.

Additionally, we overhaul JT12/JFTD12 engines and turbines used to power the twin-engine Sikorsky Skycrane heavy lift helicopter.  In fact, Sabreliner has worked on more of the engines than anyone else in the world.

Our Independence, Kan. operation is a veteran performer in the helicopter industry.  We are a Honeywell Authorized Warranty and Repair Station (AWARS) for fuel accessories for an array of rotor aircraft engines, including the Honeywell LTS101 and Rolls Royce Model 250.

The Honeywell (formerly Lycoming) LTS101 is an engine family ranging from 650 to 850 shaft horsepower and installed in a number of popular helicopters.  Rotary-winged aircraft powered by the LTS101 include the Bell 222A, B and UT, the Eurocopter AS350, the Eurocopter HH-65 Dolphin, the MBB BK117 and the Air Tractor AT-302.

The Rolls Royce 250 is a successful turboshaft/turboprop engine family developed by Allison Engine Co. in the early 1960s used to propel a large number of helicopters and small aircraft.  Of nearly 30,000 engines produced, an estimated 16,000 remain in service.
