Engines
Sabreliner has developed a decades-long standing as an expert in helicopter engine service and support, starting in 1989 when the company won a U.S. Army procurement contract to rebuild 400 T53-L-13B engines. The company maintains the capability to work on T-53 engines that power government helicopters, but it also overhauls JT12/JFTD12 engines and turbines used on the twin-engine Sikorsky Skycrane heavy lift commercial helicopter, and has worked on more of the engines than anyone else in the world.
Sabreliner's Engine Accessory Overhaul and Repair operation in Independence, Kan. has a well-earned reputation for its high quality work on fuel controls, fuel accessories and electrical and electronic accessories for some of the world's leading helicopter engines. With two decades of experience, the operation is an Authorized Warranty and Repair Station for the Honeywell LTS101 and the Rolls Royce 250.
The facility is authorized to overhaul and repair Honeywell LTS101 fuel controls, temperature compensators, power turbine governors, flow fence actuators and overspeed limiter. The LTS101 turboshaft engine powers a wide range of popular helicopters, including the Bell 222, the Eurocopter AS350 Ecureuil, the HH-65 Dolphin and the MBB/Kawasaki BK 117.
The Independence operation also is overhauls and repairs Honeywell fuel controls and power turbine governors for the popular RR250 turboshaft engine. It powers the Bell 206, the MD Helicopters MD 500 series, the MBB Bo 105 and the Sikorsky S-76 Spirit helicopters.
