airframeAeronca Thrust Reverser Cables
The experts at Sabreliner can replace old thrust reverser cables with new, upgraded Aeronca cables, which eliminate the 2,000-hour mandatory cable replacement.  The Aeronca cables require only inspection, not replacement, every 2,000 hours, resulting in less expense for the operator.

APU Access Door
The installation of an APU aft fuselage door on your Sabreliner aircraft makes maintenance access to critical areas faster and easier.  The benefits include improved access to the APU oil filter and oil pressure switches, easier and faster APU removal and maintenance, and better access to the bleed air duct.

overlayImproved Wing Overlays
Foot pressure on wing overlays can cause the original foam to crush and separate from the fiberglass skin, creating a void.  If you've noticed visible bubbles, delamination or areas lifting during flight, you might consider the improved wing overlays.

Applicable to 60SC, 80SC and 65 models, improved wing overlays were designed to maintain the wing contour and decrease wing overlay repair maintenance.  Manufactured at our Perryville, Mo. facility, the new overlays require two weeks lead time.

laserwire

Laser Wiring Marking System
Sabreliner owns two state-of-the-art laser wire marking systems which mark codes on all avionics wiring with laser printing rather than hot-stamping.  This process virtually eliminates the potential for damage to wires that might result in an eventual system failure.  The laser wire marker prints similar to a laser printer and the toner is permanent, so it will not rub off.  Each wire can be permanently marked for easy identification during troubleshooting.  Completed harnesses are then tested on Sabreliner's DIT-MCO machine which ensures harnesses are totally free of any defects prior to shipping to our customers or installing in the aircraft.

A study performed by the U.S. Navy determined that hot stamping embrittled the insulation on the wires.  Shortly after the study, the military prohibited the use of the hot stamping method for wire printing.  The FAA now requires laser marking for all new wiring.

windshield heat controllerMod 6 Windshield Heat Controller
The control unit helps increase the performance and reliability of the inverter powering the windshield.  It provides quieter and smoother operation of the aircraft inverter system and creates less loading on the aircraft electrical system when the windshield heating system is powered on and off.  (Reference Service Letter 50 for additional requirements when making this modification.)

PPG Windshield Surface SealTM
Now the reliable, durable Surface SealTM coating can be applied overnight to windshields on Sabreliner business jets at our Perryville facility.  PPG Industries' Surface SealTM improves visibility in the rain by forcing water drops to bead and roll off, leaving a large portion of the windshield surface water-free.  The coating can be added to replacement windshields prior to shipping, too.

speed brakeSpeed Brake Activation
This enhancement has become very popular with Sabreliner 65 operators.  Installation of the speed brake requires approximately 10 working days.

Station 143 Access Door
We can install an access panel to afford easier maintenance on all the relays in the forward right-hand side of Station 143 in the cockpit of the aircraft.

three-sensor windshieldThree-Sensor Windshield
Original windshields included only one or two sensors, and if the sensor failed it was necessary to replace the entire windshield.  The three-sensor windshield has a stand-by sensor that allows you to remove the wires from the faulty sensor and plug them into the third sensor, eliminating the cost of windshield replacement.

Baggage Shelf Modification
An enhancement to the design of the Sabreliner cabin baggage shelf provides easier access to a number of components, making maintenance easier, quicker and less expensive.

A hinged top on the baggage shelf modification opens to reveal the pressurization controller, nose steering potentiometers, the auxiliary switching unit, AOA potentiometer, the anti-skid unit, the aileron servo and other avionics equipment.

baker audio systemBaker Audio System
Most of the older audio systems are part of a single control unit with a 400-hz inverter that produces a noticeable hum.  The Baker Audio System eliminates that hum altogether.  It also features an integrated voice-activated intercom, so you can talk without the need to key a microphone.

interiorComposite Interior Side Panels
Designed by the experts at Sabreliner's Perryville, Mo. facility, the patented composite side panels create a spacious look for the interior of your Sabreliner aircraft.  The innovative design provides nearly eight inches of additional shoulder room and 2.5 inches of head room within the aircraft cabin.

Previously, routine maintenance, cleaning and inspection of the window line and lighting tracks required the removal of the interior side panels.  Because the new composite side panels are hinged, they drop down with the push of a button so technicians can gain access quickly and easily.

interiorThe composite side panels are made from a honeycomb core with fiberglass facing and can reduce the aircraft's weight by more than 100 pounds, depending on model and configuration.

Entertainment and Communication Systems

External Servicing Commode
This feature eliminates the need to carry waste through the aircraft cabin.  It includes an external service toilet kit and external drain/fill receptacle.  Using a regular garden hose or special service cart, the commode can be drained and filled quickly and cleanly via the outside port installed on the aft fuselage.

lumbar supportLumbar Support
Relying on recent ergonomic advances, interior craftsmen at Sabreliner have been able to design adjustable lumbar support for cabin seats.  Now, each chair back can expand or contract in the lower back (lumbar) region, allowing passengers to set their own personalized level of seating support and comfort.  The modification is very cost-effective and it can be performed during seat re-upholstery or as a stand-alone project.

Main Entry Door Bungee
Sabre 80 operators can upgrade their main entry doors by installing a pneumatic bungee opening and closing system.  The system, introduced in the Sabre 65 Model, is designed to improve operation of the cabin door.

Rear Lavatory/Jump Seat Baggage Straps
We offer two options for increasing baggage capacity in the rear lavatory.  First, we can expand the existing right-hand baggage shelf in the rear lavatory to increase baggage capacity by 20 percent.  Second, we can install strap netting across the doorway of the entire rear lavatory to convert it into a complete baggage area.  This design allows for easy conversion back and forth so the space can used either as a baggage area or as a lavatory.

Removable Baggage Compartment
Need extra storage space?  Sabreliner has the answer with a convertible baggage compartment that is interchangeable with the aft cabin chairs.  Simply remove the aft seats and install the compartment on the existing seat track.  The aft lavatory is not obstructed by the installation of the compartment.  The removable compartment is designed to carry an additional 170 pounds and hold 13 cubic feet - large enough for four sets of golf clubs - and it can be designed to match your interior.

Engine

hush kitsCF700 Hush Kits
Sabreliner Corp. is authorized by Noise Reduction Engineering to assemble and install its CF700 hush kits. Applicable to the Sabre 80, the hush kit allows you to comply with Stage 3 noise requirements.  Modifications are confined to the fan exit guide vane assembly, and you can keep the assembly even if you exchange engines in the future.  Aircraft and engine performance remain the same and the aircraft's appearance is unaffected.  The aircraft weight also remains unchanged.

compressorJT12 Engine Compressor
Sabreliner compressor enhancements include incorporation of Specification SAO 114-101 for compressor blade rework, providing more efficient compressor blades.  In addition to the blade improvement, we have developed tolerances which are maintained during overhaul of JT12/JFTD12 compressors.  Tolerances are held much closer than those required by the overhaul manual with emphasis placed on those areas that are found to be most critical.  All JT12/JFTD12 compressors that are overhauled by Sabreliner Corp. are assembled to these exacting standards.

Stage 3 Noise Level Certification
If you're a Sabre 65 operator and your travels take you to Europe, read on.  In Europe as well as at some airports in the U.S., aircraft must meet Stage 3 noise level requirements.  All Sabre 65s meet Stage 3 levels and Sabreliner Corp. can provide the necessary certification for operators to carry as evidence that the aircraft is compliant.
