April 11, 2007 Sabreliner Corporation Strikes Gold |
|
Sabreliner Corporation’s Perryville operation has struck gold for its customers in the form of the FAA Gold Certificate of Excellence. The award is given to companies that send at least 50 percent of eligible technicians to specified training on FAA regulations and policies as well as aviation maintenance during the prior calendar year. “This is part of our processes for assuring that customers receive the highest quality of service. Our continued receipt of this award is truly about fulfilling a commitment we made to our customers -- a commitment to provide them with the best possible service and support,” explains Ron Herman, vice president - operations for Sabreliner. “The quality of work we are consistently able to deliver is directly related to the caliber of the technicians we have working for us,” Herman continues. In addition to receiving the Gold Certificate of Excellence as a company, 53 Perryville technicians received individual Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards, including 17 Bronze, 16 Silver, 11 Gold and nine Ruby Awards. In 2006, the requirements of the AMT Award Program were more demanding than ever before. In previous years, only 25 percent of the eligible workforce had to complete the required training. Now, a minimum of 50 percent must meet the on-going training requirements to receive the Gold Certificate of Excellence.
“The FAA raised the bar and that’s okay with us,” Herman says. “We constantly are pushing ourselves to reach for the next level. That’s what being a leader is all about.” | General History | The Aircraft | Capabilities | |
