New Inspection Program Adds 2,000 Hours of Service

Sabreliner Corporation has received FAA approval of a new inspection program that adds 2,000 hours of life to all 40 and 60 model Sabreliners with a 10,000-hour life limit, which is approximately 10 years of typical operator flying.

This inspection program doesn't carry the mandatory replacement of parts that other similar programs do. The aircraft continues on the same maintenance schedule as it is currently on after completing the baseline life extension inspection at Sabreliner's Perryville, Mo., facility.

Cost of the new service life extension inspection program is $37,500. Another major benefit to the program is that many of the 36-, 48-, and 60-month inspections are accomplished as part of the program. The downtime for the inspection is two weeks.
